What we do.

Everything your build needs.

We built Odyssey Fitouts to be the one place that does it all. From a full custom build to a single accessory install, we handle the lot under one roof in Fremantle. One workshop. One team who knows your build inside out.

Troopys are our bread and butter but we’re now taking on new projects – if you have another vehicle and interested in working with Odyssey, reach out!

Electrical

Power is the backbone of any good build. Get it wrong out there and you’re stuck in the dark with a flat battery and a long walk. We design and install power systems that work when you need them — whether that’s a weekend at Lucky Bay or three weeks on the Tanami.

We build plug-and-play wiring harnesses using waterproof Deutsch connectors with braided sleeving for abrasion protection. Every wire is labelled, every fuse panel is engraved. That means quick installs, easy diagnostics, and simple maintenance down the track. If something needs to come out later, it comes out clean — no cutting, no tracing mystery wires.

What we install:

  • Battery management and DC-DC charging systems
  • House battery systems sized to your power needs
  • Alternator upgrades for faster charging on the move
  • Inverters for 240V power anywhere
  • 240V wiring and power points, wired and certified to spec
  • Solar panels, folding blankets or roof-mounted, wired for charge on the move
  • Customised, labelled, and engraved fuse panels
  • Plug-and-play wiring harnesses with waterproof Deutsch connectors
  • Fully labelled circuits for easy diagnostics and maintenance
  • Lighting solutions (internal, external, awning, spotlights, etc.)

We use gear built for Australian conditions because it holds up. We’ve tested enough of it on enough trips to know what works and what doesn’t. Every connection is crimped, heat-shrunk, and labelled — so when something needs attention years down the track, you or any auto sparky can trace it in minutes, not hours.

That’s the standard. Not because it’s fancy, but because it’s how we’d wire our own.

Plumbing

Hot water on tap. A shower at the end of a dusty track. Clean drinking water whenever you need it. Good plumbing turns a basic camp into somewhere you actually want to spend time.

We design and fit complete water systems for Troopies — from a simple drinking tap to a full hot-and-cold setup with underbody tanks, filtration, and quick-connect fittings throughout.

What we install:

  • Hot water systems and shower setups
  • Stainless steel underbody water tanks
  • WOMO water filtration
  • Odyssey utility hatches for clean access points
  • Quick-connect fittings for easy service and maintenance
  • Drinking taps and shower systems

We use stainless steel tanks because they don’t taint your water and they don’t care how much red dust you throw at them. Quick-connect fittings mean you can swap components or service the system without a toolbox full of specialised gear. And our Odyssey utility hatches give you clean, sealed access where you need it.

No afterthoughts. Every connection is planned, every run is accessible, and the whole system is built to handle corrugations and creek crossings.

Mulgo Pop-Top Conversions

A pop-top changes everything. You gain standing height at camp, better ventilation, and a whole lot more comfort when you’re parked up for the night. And a Mulgo pop-top is the one we trust — engineered specifically for the Troopy, built tough, and proven on the tracks.

A pop-top isn’t just about headroom. It’s about making your Troopy a proper home base — somewhere you can stand up, cook a meal, and stretch out after a long day on the dirt.

Accessories

The big stuff gets the headlines, but it’s the accessories that make a build yours. The bull bar that gets you out of trouble. The winch that pulls your mate out. The compressor that re-inflates a tyre on the Nullarbor. We fit the lot — and we only fit gear we’d use ourselves.

What we install:

  • Bull bars and rear bars
  • Winches
  • Radios (UHF)
  • Snorkels
  • Maxtrax and recovery gear mounts
  • Roof racks
  • Rear door tables
  • Sound deadening
  • Pop-top tents and roof-top tents
  • Compressors
  • Awnings and en-suite awnings
  • Diff breather kits
  • Secondary fuel filters
  • Seats and seat upgrades
  • Exhausts

Every accessory we fit is installed the same way — properly, with the right hardware, sealed, and wired to match the rest of your build. No cable-tied shortcuts. No rattling brackets. Just clean, considered installs that look right and will last.

We use Odyssey products where we can because we make them, we test them, and we know they work. But we’ll fit quality gear from anyone — as long as it meets the standard.

Coming to the Workshop

The build doesn’t end at handover. Three things we’re setting up so you can keep coming back to the people who know your Troopy.
Servicing

Servicing and maintenance for the vehicles we build, by the people who built them. No explaining your setup to someone seeing it for the first time.

Suspension

Suspension tuned to the weight you actually carry, and GVM upgrades so the numbers stack up. Set up around your build rather than a generic load.

Tyres

Tyre options and fitting, so the whole build comes together in one place instead of across three.
