Our preset build options have many different configurations, all of them are available in a Workshop Build. If you are wanting a flatpack, this limits some options as they may require more skill or tools than can be expected.

Additionally, if you have a pop-top, the extra space allows for more configurations to take advantage of the room.

Yes, although most of our custom work is focused on Troopies, we have done some cool custom projects such as the Fremantle Dockers media van.

Our cabinetry is primarily constructed with a high-quality birch core plywood. Birch is an excellent timber for plywood as it is a great balance between weight, strength, and dimensional stability (it doesn’t warp as much).

Keeping vehicle weight down is always a priority, whether you’re trying to avoid a GVM upgrade or improve fuel economy.

All of our Troopy builds are designed to carefully balance weight, structural strength, practicality, and aesthetics.

• Material Removal: Strategic cut‑outs in non‑critical areas reduce overall weight without compromising strength or appearance.
• HDPE Drawer Slides: Wherever possible, we use HDPE low‑friction runners instead of heavy ball‑bearing drawer slides. This reduces weight and increases usable storage space.

We found that many people assumed higher version numbers meant a newer or better product. In reality, each version was designed for different use cases and preferences, not quality progression.

Every model is built to the same standard, the difference is simply how well it suits your travel style and setup.

There are no special skills required, just some patience and attention to detail.

You’ll receive PDF instructions, along with video guides, and you’re always welcome to contact our workshop team for advice during the completing your install of the build.

At a minimum, we recommend a small workshop or garage (even a well protected verandah or carport will do). Additionally, you’ll need some simple tools like a cordless drill, a few clamps (the more the better), and some basic hand tools. Reach out and we can provide our flatpack guide for you to read through if you are interested.

Depending on how experienced and confident you are this can vary. Typically, it can be done in about 4 relaxed days by someone who is used to working with their hands. Finishing processes like varnishing may extend this due to curing and re‑coat times.

Once assembled, installation into the vehicle is approximately 4-5 hours if you are not doing any plumbing/electrical at the same time.

No, we don’t currently offer financing. Our priority is helping customers choose a Troopy fitout that suits their needs and budget, rather than encouraging unnecessary debt.

Our main focus and passion is the Troopy.

That said, we’ve worked on other vehicle platforms and are actively expanding our range. If you don’t have a Troopy but like our builds, get in touch and we can discuss your requirements.

At this stage, vehicles must be supplied by the customer.

We generally don’t handle vehicle transport. However, if required, please contact us and we can discuss possible options.
